Reflection Points
- Using 3 descriptive words or phrases, how would you describe the group of people with whom you most easily identify? (think about things like age, race, class, gender, religion, etc…
- On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the most difficult), how difficult do you think it would be for you to belong to a church in which you were an ethnic minority? Why?
- Search your heart: what “BC” thoughts and attitudes of Christians of other ethnicities have you smuggled into your “AD” life?
- The “Dividing Wall of Hostility” (Ephesians 2:14) separated the Gentiles from the Jews when they all went to the Temple. The Gentiles were threatened with death if they tried to enter the “Jews only” section. How do you think the average Black family, or Indian family, or Asian family, or interracial family, etc… feels when they enter a gathering of our church?
