The Scapegoat
This sermon on Psalm 103:10-12 was preached by Robert Greene at Redemption Hill Church on Sunday, August 2nd, 2009.
Reflection Points
- The work is done, God’s wrath has been exhausted (propitiation) and your sins have been removed (expiation). The question that remains is whether or not you will believe it? Will you appreciate it for your day to day acceptance with God?
- Do you grasp with your heart and mind what the message of the “scapegoat” says to you?
- Do you believe that Jesus really has carried away your sins and that God has removed them as far as the east is from the west?
- When you think about God “hurling” your sins into the sea, do you rejoice?
- Do you see in all of this that the gospel is infinitely larger and greater than your sin?
